Through my work as a NICU Nurse, I have had the pleasure of working with families who were being treated for O.U.D. (Opioid Use Disorder). Breastfeeding/feeding in general, can look very different for these families, and though, as complex as a plan can be at times, it is equally important to educate families on their options- some valuable information on this website from Bicycle Health.
Arleen Tyndall, a Conscious Parenting Coach, is a mine field of knowledge for moms new and with older children, guiding them through the transition into parenthood and beyond. Arleen supports new parents who may want to ‘parent differently’ and break generational cycles they grew up with that were harmful; and those who may not have kids yet or are expecting. Parents that may be encountering challenges such as power struggles, feeling exhausted, yelling, punishments not working, sibling rivalry, have 1 easy kid and the other is ‘harder’, losing connection with child/teen who is withdrawing, all of which are very real challenges.
Arleen offers practical tools and skill building exercises to integrate into daily life; accountability for the practices and feedback to discuss situations; She provides resources that apply directly to the skill for reference and learning. I highly recommend her, you can check her out below.
